Modoc Speedway Set to Roar Back to Life in 2026
Modoc, South Carolina (December 29, 2025) - Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina will have its long-anticipated return to racing in 2026. The historic facility located on Washington School Road in McCormick County has undergone what can only be described as a complete rebuild over the last few years while it has been dormant. But now track owner Ronnie Powell is ready to go racing.
The track will host an open practice on Saturday, March 7th for any and all classes. Then, just two short weeks later, on Friday, March 20th the Southern All Star Racing Series will roll into town and headline the action with a $10,053 to win Super Late Model event. Support classes for the event will be announced in the near future. Plans now are to host stock car racing once per month with plans to also host kart racing on the infield oval later in the year.
Complete divisions and rules information will also be formalized later in January. It is likely that Modoc will run similar classes to the other tracks of the region including (CRUSA) Street Stocks, (SSTA) Factory Stock, Crown Vic and (SCDRA) Front Wheel Drives.
